Play Innovation attend important Parliamentary debate in Westminster.
From the recognition of play in the updated National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) through to parliamentary debates about play sufficiency, there is clear momentum in creating ‘Play Sufficiency’. Play Innovation CEO Marco Boi sat with Eugene Minogue of Play England to see Tom Hayes MP lead an important parliamentary debate about the importance of children’s Play.
Marco Boi said: ‘Playgrounds are spaces where children go to play, be free, have fun, be active, let off steam, learn, grow and forge friendships. The added bonus is that the playground is also a place for parents and carers to meet and build community bonds with other parents. The social outcomes speak for themselves and are undeniable. We are excited that Play England are pushing the agenda at Parliament, with cross party support. As for Play Innovation, we will keep promoting the value and importance of creating Family Inclusive Sports Areas and Playgrounds.
