Playinnovation founder Marco Boi was honoured to join an expert panel at this year’s Elevate event, the UK’s leading trade show for physical activity, fitness, and sports therapy. Held at ExCeL London, the two-day exhibition welcomed thousands of professionals from across the sector, with Marco taking to the stage at the Kidztivity Theatre – now officially known as the Active Kids Theatre, to champion innovation in children’s play and movement.
Marco joined an inspiring line-up of speakers including representatives from Team GB Foundation, Street Games, Park Run, and more. Together, the panel explored how active environments, inclusive design, and playful technology can empower young people and tackle the growing crisis of physical inactivity.
“Physical activity is subjective and children like and need choice. It is important that we collaboratively design inspiring spaces and signpost children and families there,” Marco said during the panel. “What are we most excited about? We want to harness the power of mobile phones and gaming to inspire kids to OUTDOOR play. Our mission is to inspire children through smart design and engaging gameplay – whether in parks, schools, or through our connected digital platforms. Being part of this discussion was a great opportunity to share what works, challenge what doesn’t, and push the boundaries of what play can be.”
Playinnovation was also one of the official Innovation Partners of the Active Kids Theatre. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to reshaping the future of physical activity for children through creativity, data-driven insights, and real-world impact.
